THE ROLE OF HISTORIC AREAS IN ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES LUXOR CITY, EGYPT

Abstract

This paper aims to monitor the role of archaeological areas to achieve sustainabledevelopment. (Economic, social and environmental dimensions) in local communities. Bydetermining the role of these areas to achieve: economic development such as economic growthand multiple activities and increase employment opportunities and high level of economicincome, etc. Social development by defining its role in improving the quality of public servicesand basic facilities . Environmental development by defining its role in preserving the naturalenvironment from pollution and deterioration and improving the level of the urban environmentand quality of life. The paper adopts a framework based on the use of three methods to reach theobjectives of the research, the first method, the descriptive theoretical method, the collection ofthe relevant data, the second the applied analytical method, the analysis of the data and itsapplication to the case of the study of the city of Luxor, and the third method of deriving the finalresults. The study is based on steps that begin with the study of the basic concepts(archaeological and heritage areas, sustainable development and its different dimensions andlocal communities), then study the theoretical relationship between the archaeological areas andthe sustainable development of the local communities. تھدف ھذه الورقة البحثية إ لى رصد دور ال مناطق الأث رية والتراث ية فى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة ( بأبعادھا الإقتصاديةوالإجتماعية والبيئية) للمجتمعات المحلية الواقعة بھا، وذلک من خلال رصد دور ھذه المناطق فى تحقيق : ١) التنميةالإقتصادية مثل نمو وتعدد الأنشطة والقطاعات الإقتصادية وزيادة فرص العمل وارتفاع مستوى ا لدخول الإقتصادية .. الخ.٢) التنمية الإجتماعية فيما يتعلق بدورھا فى تحسين مستوى جودة الخدمات العامة تعليم وصحة وخلافھ والمرافق الأساسيةشبکات مياة الشرب والصرف والکھرباء وخلافھ. ٣) التنمية البيئية فيما يتعلق بدورھا فى الحفاظ على البيئة الطبيعية منالتلوث والتدھور وتحسين مستوى البيئة العمرانية وجودة المعيشة بوجھ عام.وتتبنى الورقة اطارا تحليليا عاما يعتمد على إستخدام ثلاثة أساليب أساسية بشکل متزا من ومتکامل من أجل الوصول لأھدافالبحث ، الأسلوب الأول وھو الأسلوب النظرى الوصفى من أجل جمع البيانات ذات الصلة، أما الأسلوب الثانى فھو الأسلوبالتطبيقى التحليلى وذلک لتحليل البيانات وتطبيقھا على حالة الدراسة مدينة ، أما الأسلوب الثالث وھو الأسلوب الإستنباطىلإستخلاص النتائج النھائية للبحث إستنادا للنتائج المرحلية التى تم التوصل اليھا فى الأسلوبين السابقينوتعتمد الورقة على عدة خطوات متتابعة تشکل فى مجموعھا خطا بحثيا متصاعدا يبدأ ب دراسة ال مفاھيم الأساسية ( المناطق الأثريةوالتراثية ، والتنمية المستدامة وأبعادھا المختلفة ، والمجتمعات المحلية) ، ثم دراسة العلاقة النظرية بين المناطق الأثرية والتراث ية وبينالتنمية المستدامة للمجتمعات المحلية الواقعة بھا ھذه المناطق ، ثم تطبيق نتائج الدراسة على مدينة الأقصر ، واخيرا استقاء النتائج العامةللورقة.
