Abstract

One of the most significant factors in economic growth is considered to be investment particularly foreign direct investment (FDI). This study analyzes the economy of Albania by modelling the role of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the economic development of Albania. The paper opted to the utilization of the economic methodology of OLS and WLS, using Cobb-Douglass production function to evaluate the impact of FDI in the economic development of Albania. The data used was from 1970 to 2019. The results show that, FDI does not influence economic development of Albania. The results have implication for policy decision making.
