Abstract

Exosomes are extracellular nanovesicles with a size of 30–150 nm (in diameter) and they can be secreted by different kinds of cells under both physiological and pathological conditions. Exosomes have a typical lipid bilayer structure and comprise proteins, lipids, messenger RNA, non-coding RNA and DNA from the original cells.
