Introduction

Contemporary educational and instructional processes involve three areas; educationinstruction, educational management, and student personality. Whilst conducting academic activities in the classroom, teachers aim to direct the emotional, social, and behavioral aspects of their students, which in reality means that teachers are required to serve as role models to their students. Studies in this area have shown that positive or negative personality or the professional traits of teachers may have a critical impact on their students’ academic success (Çapa & Çil, 2000; Küçukahmet, 1976; Louis, 1998; Ustuner, 2006; Varış, 1988).
