Abstract

This study explores the relationship between education for sustainability (EfS) and educational leadership. In this study, the whole-school approach to sustainability is utilized as a lens to understand EfS and transformational leadership is used as a theoretical approach to educational leadership. The interaction between the two approaches leads to the conceptual framework of this study. The study employs a single case-study design, where the participant is the principal of a school located in a rural community of Nepal. This study identifies the educational leadership practices that facilitate the implementation of EfS.
