Abstract
Today, environmental problems are an urgent topic all over the world and of course in Russia. And to solve these problems in all countries eco-volunteers are involved. Environmental volunteering is an important area of volunteer activity. On the example of the Murmansk region it is shown how eco-volunteers of ANO «Clean Arctic» are actively involved in solving many environmental problems of the region, such as reforming the system of solid municipal waste management, maintaining the cleanliness of specially protected natural areas, environmental education of the population, promotion of ecological lifestyle, еtc.. The activities of eco-volunteers contribute to the successful implementation of the national project «Ecology» in the Murmansk region. This will make it possible to change the situation with the reform of the management system in a positive way, which will undoubtedly affect the sustainability of the territory of the Murmansk region.
