Abstract
The paper includes the ultrasonic studies and its position in the positive and differential diagnosis of hydatid liver cyst. Ultrasound is highly accurate in the demonstration of cystic lesions in the liver. In many situations this method is enough for diagnosis, being noninvasive, not expensive and easy to be performed is the best imaging method in following up this type of lesions. In this study I treat aspects about the diagnosis of noncomplicated and complicated hydatid cyst of the liver Ultrasonography and computer tomography are the most important diagnostic tools, are helpful for determining the complications and planning treatment. There were included in the study and echografically examined over 200 patients with hydatid liver cyst. Currently, we analyzed all five types of hydatid liver cyst. The role of echography in the positive and differential diagnosis of hydatide liver cyst has been demonstrated. The echography results are enough sufficient – over 90% – in the surgical intervention or on it's postponement have been determined.
