Abstract
As the driver of reductive dissolution of As-bearing Fe and Mn oxides/hydroxides and formation of As-Fe-DOM (dissolved organic matter - DOM) binary and ternary complexes and competitive sorption and electron shuttling reactions, the key status of DOM in groundwater has been appreciated by growing concerns. This study investigated the reaction conditions of DOM adsorption to goethite at the presence of Arsenate (V) and determined the stable carbon isotope composition and fractionation during this process, which indicated that the fractionation of δ13CDOC in the adsorption to goethite could be ignored during the assessment of DOM source using stable carbon isotope.
