Abstract

In this paper we provide an overview of the current state of data repositories designed to manage spatial data holdings for the humanitarian sector, paying particular attention to the role of repositories in crisis mapping. We discuss how geospatial data repositories function in the larger humanitarian information management community and how repository architecture choices affect these functions. We close by noting current trends in portal design and management.
