Abstract

The research summarizes by studying the role of civil society organizations in achieving sustainable development, especially in areas emerging from conflict and armed conflict, and we have chosen the Nineveh Center for Consultation and Research as a model from several civil society organizations working within the province of Nineveh and trying to get acquainted with its programs and goals and who are the target groups of training and knowing the results Achieved on the ground in a city that was subjected to war and destruction and where people suffered from many types of tragedies and calamities. This governorate, which fell under the control of the terrorist organization with extremist religious thought, has suffered from conflicts and manifestations of violence and irritability As well as from military operations during the liberation process, and its residents have suffered from killing, abuse, loss, loss and intimidation, as it is the most urgent area for human building operations before building the city, and to achieve the goals of sustainable development, there must be a broad partnership that brings together governments, citizens and civil society organizations, and the goals of sustainable development are many. The Nineveh Center for Consultation and Research has worked to contribute to achieving some of them, such as supporting education and gender equality, and seeking to advance Nineveh Governorate as a sustainable city, and contribute to achieving peace and justice and strong institutions through training programs, building human capabilities, and endeavors. It is necessary to hold partnerships to achieve the goals: such as free training of state employees and various fields in a manner that serves peace projects, peaceful coexistence and good planning to achieve a sustainable city.
