Abstract
The main objective of this study is to identify the types of protection offered to children from the perspective of the workers in the organizations of childhood welfare and protection in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).The research was guided by key questionssurrounding the welfare laws and types of protection available to childrenvia theseorganizations. The main findings were that all child protectionorganizations emphasize the importance of protecting children from violence in all its forms and at all levels, domestic violence, and that these organizations work to protect children from neglect and from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
