Abstract
338 Photochromic compounds, characterized by reversible photoinduced structural changes, are prom ising candidates for use in different areas of molecular electronics, photonics, and spintronics. Among the photochromic compounds, spirocyclic molecular sys tems, in particular, spirooxazines (SPOs), hold special position. SPOs have high photocoloration quantum yields and exhibit a wide variability of spectral and kinetic characteristics [1, 2].
