Abstract

The reinforcement effect of carbon black on the elastic behaviour of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber/low density polyethylene blend has been studied. The Mooney-Rivlin relation has been used to describe the behaviour of the rubber matrix and the values of the constants C 1 and C 2 have been evaluated using the strain-amplification factor, and the dependence of these constants on the carbon black concentration has also been studied.
