Abstract

Intelligent lighting systems can bring several benefits to the electrical system, besides performing the remote monitoring of electrical parameters, it is possible to create a remote management system of the luminaires. This paper has the objective of integrating this system used in street lighting into a smart grid environment. The proposed system is presented as well as a developed prototype. The results of the prototype are demonstrated, such as the hardware architecture, performing the energy measurement, control, and dimerization of the street lights, as well as the results achieved with the communication system.
