Abstract

Antithrombotic drugs and revascularisation procedures prevent death and recurrent ischaemic events in patients with acute myocardial infarction. However, the use of multiple antithrombotic drugs increases the risk of bleeding, a strong independent predictor of recurrent myocardial infarction, stroke, and death.1
