Abstract

The Corona Virus Pandemic not only affects the social life of the community but also encourages many Muslim communities to find alternative solutions to maintain the vitality of their bodies. Consuming herbal medicines and conducting some Islamic traditional medical methods are currently back into a social trend because some people believe that the methods can ward off all forms of the disease. The focus of this research is the implementation of traditional Islamic medicine methods in West Java and aims to understand the impact of the use of alternative medical methods in society in depth. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a field analysis approach using observation and interview techniques to collect the required data. The findings obtained by the author also shows that the use of herbal medicine and traditional Islamic healing methods can have a big impact on beliefs related to the function of religion in protecting people in the world and the hereafter and they also have the belief that the activities they do increase their immune system. This is because the theological conception of religious-based medicine is increasing being preached by many religious figures and medical personnel
