Abstract

Two mass x-rays surveys have been completed, one year apart, of the population (about 9,000) of a commune, Vogošća, in Jugoslavia. The prevalence of active and quiescent cases found was relatively high (23·5 and 29·0 for males and 17·7 and 26·7 per 1,000 for females). The results, both for prevalence and attack rate have been compared with similar results from India and Great Britain.
