Abstract

The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) is designed to search for antimatter and dark matter in space. A baseline version of the experiment has successfully flown in June 1998 during ten days precursor flight (STS-91) on board of a space shuttle. The upgraded AMS is in preparation for the installation on International Space Station (ISS). We will report some of the relevant physics results of the first phase.
