Abstract

This article proposes 1 Timothy 4:12-14 as a biblical model which acknowledges both God’s activity and the authority of a local church in assessing missionary candidates and concludes with a warning about the ecclesiological dangers in allowing subjective call to drive the decision for sending a missionary.
