Abstract

The respiration ofLimnoriawas measured manometrically in sixteen solutions ranging from 6% to full strength sea water (36%). In a second series of experiments, simultaneous measurements were made in full strength sea water and in dilutions of 7, 14, 21 and 28% respectively. No significant correlation was found between the respiratory rate and the degree of dilution of the medium.
