Abstract

The undertaking of entrepreneurial behaviors has active impact to the market opportunity exploration, business area expansion and competitiveness enhancement. Therefore, the issues about entrepreneurship continuously attract numerous scholars' interests. From the strategic perspective, the entrepreneurial orientation has been viewed as a critical factor relating to the success of entrepreneurial behavior. The relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and organizations' initiative become the hot issue. And as the behavior subject, subsidiaries need to cultivate their entrepreneurial orientation and seek to new business area through appropriate behaviors. But the relationship between them is not just a direct action. One of the most important factors is the resources owned by subsidiaries. The puzzle of no channel to access or gain additional resources will constrain subsidiaries' entrepreneurial behavior and influence their survival and growth. Moreover, researchers have paid more attention on the institutional environment as external factors. It plays a moderating role in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and subsidiary initiative.
