Abstract

In order to assess the vibration characteristics of the base system for some ships’ pump group, this paper studies in terms of mechanical impedance characteristics at two aspects of simulation and experiment. With the finite element method, firstly, this research adopted modal analysis module to analyze the base and got its natural frequency and principal mode, and then used harmonic response analysis module to obtain the frequency characteristics of mechanical impedance in a specific excitation. With the experiment, the mechanical impedance of corresponding frequency can be obtained directly. Finally, by comparing those two results, this research shows that the base meets the requirements of use within the application range.
