Abstract

A kind of gyroscope which used to detect yaw angular velocity of the rotating carrier is designed and produced in the “zero torsional stiffness” condition. To analysis the gyroscope's working principle and establishing the mathematic model of the gyroscope, then designing and producing the gyroscope's sensitive structure of zero-torsion stiffness. Using alternating current bridge, the changing capacitance can be achieved, thus the rotating body yaw rate can be measured. In the case of different spin angular velocity of revolving solid, the gyro's output signal is measured, and the scaling factor is: When ϕ7#0307; = 10Hz, scaling factor K = 20.96(mV/° /s); When ϕ#0307; = 12Hz, scaling factor K = 21.12(mV/° /s); When ϕ#0307; = 14Hz, scaling factor K = 21.10(mV/° /s). Theoretical research and performance test indicated that in condition of zero torsional stiffness of gyro vibration element, the gyro's output signal only have relation with angular O, not with the revolving solid's rotation rate ϕ#0307;.
