The Research of the Route Protocols in Opportunistic Network

Abstract

In the opportunistic network, because of the impact of the sparse network, the mobile nodes, the range of communication and other factors, in this case network nodes will detach from the networks and separatist network protocols. Therefore, a complete end-to-end path between the source node and the destination node may not exist, at the same time this brings the design of route protocols great challenges, this problem has attracted researchers increasing attention. First, we introduce the basic concepts of opportunistic network, architecture and other characteristics, Then, the paper describes the progress of The Research of the Route Protocols in Opportunistic Network, the new mechanism of route protocols in opportunistic network are summarized, existing route protocols in opportunistic network are classified and the basic principles of route protocols are described in detail, route protocols in opportunistic network are analyzed and discussed by comparing the characteristics of the various protocols. Finally, the paper gives the direction of future research of the opportunistic network.
