Abstract

In this paper, the methods of spatial data classification which is based on the rough sets theory are studied. Using rough set methods one can simplify enormous irregular geographic information system (GIS) data. By using the trial data of cars, we can easily find out the places where cars often give an alarm or traffic jams often happen. With these information, the police can learn where criminals often appear or accidents often happen. It is thus useful for them to concentrate their force.
