Abstract

Distributed real-time embedded (DRE) systems are becoming increasingly widespread and important. One of the difficulties is how to schedule and dispatch real-time tasks correctly and efficiently at run-time, such as ready queue maintaining, thread model and periodic control. It is extremely necessary to abstract the commonness from DRE systems, after carefully design and optimization, and then implement it as scheduling and dispatching service in the middleware level. This paper proposes a Reflective and Dynamic Scheduling and Dispatching Service with Adaptive Characteristics (RDSDSAC). It will achieve the objectives mentioned above with the RDSDSAC. The RDSDSAC consists of a basic scheduler and a elastic scheduler, with the help of these two schedulers, RDSDSAC shields DRE developers from worrying about how the real-time tasks are performed, what need to be implemented by the developers is simply the business logic and scheduling parameters.
