Abstract

Agglomeration and deposition of particle in a turbulent channel flow are studied. A model about agglomeration and deposition of sodium aerosol particles through the emergency ventilation system is developed. Based on this, the model has been coupled with CONTAIN-LMR. In this way the CONTAIN-LMR could calculate the deposition of sodium aerosol particles in the emergency ventilation pipe. It has been found that the deposition rate is largely determined by gravity, turbulence, inertia and thermophoretic force. The calculation indicates that the deposition rate is about 27%, and it could not be ignored.
