Abstract

Under the outfield condition, Portable Maintenance Aids (PMA) combined with Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) can assist maintenance personnel in doing maintenance training and fault diagnosis, which has an important research value. PMA-based IETM system is mostly developed by Client/Server (C/S) model. The systems based on C/S model are poor in compatibility, high in development cost and weak in scalability etc, so a PMA-based IETM system under the Browser/Server (B/S) model was designed by using the ASP.net framework, architecture model based on Browser, Webserver and Database Server. On the basis of the architecture analysis and system function structure, three key technologies in system implementation were introduced: fault diagnosis technique based on Expert System, data synchronization technique and hierarchical authorization and security management. The practical application shows that the system has strong scalability and good interactivity.
