Abstract

Aiming at the problems about the large inertia delay system has the time varying and time delay characteristics, it's difficult for the traditional PID (Proportion Integration Differentiation) control method to meet the practical control demands, a new control algorithm named ITGC (Intelligent Track Guiding Control) was proposed in this paper. Based on the traditional PID control algorithm, the set signal was guided by the transition process and the differentiation signal was also improved in this ITGC control algorithm. The simulation research results indicated that for the same large inertia delay system, the overshoot of the ITGC control method was obvious littler than the PID control method, and the whole system response time of the ITGC control method was also shorter than the PID control method. Through adding a new performance evaluation index named ITAEU (Integral Time Absolute Error and U) to evaluate the ITGC and PID control effect, the experimental results shown that the ITGC control effect was better than the PID control effect in quantitative analysis. Moreover, the simulation experimental results presented that the ITGC control effect of the first order inertia guiding was better than the ramp guiding and S-curve guiding. The ITGC control algorithm of the first order inertia guiding is a good control method for the large inertia delay system, and it can be promoted into the field of the practical process industry.
