Abstract

Business school curricula are increasingly driven by information technology and related issues. To prepare students for the information technology requirements of industry, most business school curricula contain at least one Required Information Systems Course (RISC). The expedient pace of technology demands periodic reassessment of this course and its role in the business curricula to ensure its effectiveness in meeting evolving industry demands. In this paper, we present an iterative framework for both developing the RISC courseware and for assessing the effectiveness of the RISC. We describe our implementation of the framework and present empirical results from our pilot study.
