Abstract

In July 2009, the 36th International Congress ofPhysiological Sciences (IUPS2009) was held inKyoto, Japan. Few years prior to the 36th IUPS con-gress, several Japanese physiologists, includingMasataka Murakami (National Institute for NaturalSciences, Okazaki) and I discussed the possibilityof holding an IUPS satellite symposium in the fieldregarding the “Exocrine Secretion.” We also talkedthis matter with scientists out of country ;
