Abstract

A recently introduced “modified Borel transform” is shown to provide a renormalization scheme (RS) invariant formulation of perturbation theory. The usefulness of the resulting “RS invariant Borel transform” for renormalon calculations is pointed out, and some new results on the renormalons in QED are derived.
