Abstract

AbstractThe chioride volatilization process of Producing pyrite cinder is discussed in Terms of thermodynamic properties of The reactions and several series of experiments Are described. CaCl2. Ride was selected as the experimental Chloridizing reagent, because the pellets Obtained by this process are commonly Used in the Fe blast furnace. The results obtained can be summarized As follows. (1) maximum removal of metal impurities From pyrite cinder requires Rapid heating especially through the temperature range 600 to 1000°C. (2) The reduction in elimination efficiency By slow heating is due to the premature Decomposition of calcium chloride at Low temperature-in the presence of sulphur in the pyrite cinder. (3) pyrite Cinder containing comparatively low . Sulphur and arsenie is best suited as A raw material for this process. (4) the Existence of moisture and SoP. Dioxide in the furnace gas greatly reduces The efficiency of impurity elimination. (5) the optimum temperature For metal impurity elimination is...
