Abstract

This study used stochastic dominance analysis, which is distribution-free, to test for the effect of price-to-earnings ratios (PER) and price-to-sales ratios (PSR) in the Taiwan stock market. The findings show that the PER and PSR effects observed are consistent with the US stock market. A comparison of the PER and PSR strategies reveals that the two strategies can provide equivalent performance for investors.
