The words were banged into groups for the sign of a particular stylistic marking or non-marking of the main meaning. Scientific novelty. With the help of special statistical methods of linguistic research, the article argues the influence of the stylistic marking / unmarking of the main meaning of the noun on the number of its synonyms in modern German. Conclusions. Based on the obtained results, it can be argued that no stylistic class of the German noun showed significant relationships of its values with all frequency subclasses of the number of synonyms.
