Abstract

Objective: To explore the status quo of youth's mobile cell addiction, mindfulness and achievement motivation and their relationship as well as the mediating effects of mindfulness or not. Methods: A total of 305 youth were assessed online with the Mobile Phone Addiction Index (MPAI), Five Face Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) , Achievement Motivation Scale(AMS).Results: 24.9% of young people were addicted to mobile phones. Mindfulness of youth was at a high level and their achievement motivation was highly differentiated. Mobile phone addiction was negatively correlated with mindfulness and achievement motivation and mindfulness was positively correlated with achievement motivation. Mindfulness played a part of mediating role between mobile phone addiction and achievement motivation. Conclusion: Mindfulness has a partial mediating role between Mobile phone addiction and achievement motivation.
