Abstract
Introduction: Interest in the field of study and having the desired quality of clinical training will lead to a more appropriate job performance. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the quality of clinical education and students' interest in their field of study in Hamadan Rehabilitation faculty and the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 306 students of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, technical orthopedics, speech therapy and Audiology in two rehabilitation faculties of Hamadan University and Tehran University.self-report questionnaire included demographic information, questionnaire of interest to the field of study, and the quality of clinical education. The reliability was measured with Cronbach's alpha, above 0.70. Data were analyzed SPSS 16. Results: The mean age of students was 21.93 ± 1.09 years. 177 (59.6%) and 120 (40.4%) were female and male students. Speech therapy and occupational therapy had the largest number of students. There was a significant and negative relationship between the quality of clinical education and interest in the field of study (p 0.05). Conclusion: regarding to the negative relationship between the quality of clinical education and interest in the field of study, further studies and attention to review in clinical education is recommended.
