Abstract

The present article reflects the results of an experimental approach that focuses on the relationship between marital partner perception and couple satisfaction. The research sample is 100 married couples. The analysis of the research results shows significantly positive relationships between marital satisfaction and the perception of positive traits (friendship and altruism) that the partner. The correlational analysis revealed the relationship between certain perceived traits possesses of the marital partner and ensuring the optimal level of satisfaction in a couple, depending on the gender of the respondents. Thus, the perception of the positive traits of the marital partners correlates with a high level of marital satisfaction, and the perception of the negative traits is associated with the dissatisfaction experienced by the partner in the couple.
