Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between stress, self-esteem, and learning attitude of female middle school students. The participants of this study were composed of 367 female middle school students. The stress inventory, self-esteem scale, and learning attitude inventory were used after verifying reliability and validity. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 23.0 and the significance level was set to .05. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was no significant difference in stress, self-esteem, and learning attitude of female middle school students according to grades. Second, it was found that the stress of female middle school had a negative effect on self-esteem. Third, it was found that female middle school students’ stress had a negative effect on their learning attitude. Fourth, it was found that the self-esteem of female middle school students had a positive effect on their learning attitude. In this study, various methods to positively affect the stress, self-esteem, and learning attitude of female middle school students were discussed.
