Abstract

Discussion, by R. N. Brothers, in which evidence is presented supporting the hypothesis that the orientation of olivine crystals in the peridotite of Dun mountain, New Zealand, is attributable to semisolid intrusion. In reply, the various postulates are critically analyzed by Battey, who favors the theory that the olivines were oriented in the regional orogenic stress pattern.
