Abstract

Background and Aim: Resiliency is a construct which has gained attention recently as one of the variables related to human health and well-being more than ever. Therefore, the present research was conducted to determine the relationship between human dignities based management and resilience with mediating role of Hopefulness. Materials and Methods: This correlation study based on the structural equation model was carried out on 215 secondary high school teachers in Zahedan, Iran, in the academic year of 2017-18. Proportional random sampling was used to sample selection. Three Conner & Davidson’s resiliency (2003), Snyder et al. s’ Hope (1991) and human dignity based management adapted by Afkhami Rohani et al. (1393) questionnaires were used to data collection. For data analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation model were used with applying SPSS 16 and Lisrel soft wares. Findings: There was a positive and significant correlation between human dignity based management, hopefulness and resiliency (p<0.001). Human dignity based management had a positive effect on resiliency both indirectly and indirectly, through mediating role of hopefulness. Conclusion: According to the findings, it is recommended that the managers of the organizations, improve the level of employee's hopefulness and resiliency by observing the indicators of respect for human dignity, including employee empowerment and participation, as well as focus on positive behavior and performance, and transfer of the correct information.
