Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between growth and development and insulin resistance, serum leptin, endocrine hormones, blood lipid levels in simple obesity children. Methods From January 2013 to July 2015, 81 cases of simple obesity children treated in our hospital were selected as the study group, 81 children with healthy physical examination were selected as the control group. The levels of HbAlc, T3, cortisol, leptin, INS, FBG, ZAG, obestatin, Nesfatin-1, Homa2-IR, GH, and blood lipid were measured and compared. Results The levels of ZAG, cortisol, leptin, and T3 in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the levels of obestatin, Nesfatin-1, and GH were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of INS, HbAlc, FBG, and Homa2-IR in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Insulin resistance, serum leptin, endocrine hormones, and blood lipid levels in simple obesity children change obviously, which seriously affect the healthy growth and development of children, should be paid great attention to, with effective control and monitoring. Key words: Simple obesity children; Growth and development; Insulin resistance; Blood lipid level; Endocrine hormones
