Abstract

Changes such as evolving shortage of workers and other external environment have pushed Chinese private enterprises to achieve high-performance through coordination employment relations, which requires theories to reconcile the employees needs and enterprises interests. In the theoretical background of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and high performance working systems(HPWPs), this paper put forward a new concept—employer social responsibility(ESR). Based on private enterprises workplace survey in Fujian province of China, the paper studies relationship between employer social responsibility and private enterprises performance, and suggests employee relations management strategies as well.
