A Letter to the Editor of the Philadelphia Medical and Surgical Reporter. Dear Sir: —In a recent issue of the Medical and Surgical Reporter you say: I hear a great deal of complaint thatThe Journalis not what it was intended to be, namely: a substitute for the volume of Transactions. Men complain that the proceedings of the Association are not properly reported inThe Journal, and that the papers are not published in regular order or according to any well arranged plan. They say here 1 that it is too much filled with the proceedings of the Chicago and Illinois societies, and that papers read at the meeting are pushed aside to make room for papers which have not been presented to the Association at all, and which were written long after the ones which they have displaced.
