The Relations of Nicolae Iorga with Stahl Family

Abstract

These pages try to bring some research assistance on father , Henri (1878-1942) and son, H.H. ( 1901-1991). Both of them were strongly influenced by their close relationship with N.Iorga. Henri, famous stenographer, was a professor of Romanian history. Iorga had been his master since 1898 and continued to be a beloved friend. Stahl relentlessly helped him by transcribing lectures, speeches and books. Here are retraced the main steps over the war. He published semiautobiographical accounts, vivid depictions of usual life in old Bucharest and even a novel about a fake travel to the Moon.
