Abstract

Many sportsmen have been concerned about fishermen following the stocking truck. One method of discouraging this practice would be to minimize the advantage of fishing immediately after stocking. Since there is generally an inverse relationship between the proportion of stocked fish that are creeled and the length of time they have been in the stream, any procedure that discourages stocked fish from biting should have a temporary effect of probably not over 1 or 2 days.
