Abstract

This paper aimed at studying the relation between social action indicators and listening to the common genres of music. This quantitative research was conducted based on the field method by designing questionnaire and direct surveys. Statistical samples were randomly selected then chosen and studied in various municipal regions of Tehran and Karaj. Statistical data analysis indicated a significant relation between social actions and behavior of citizens (including driving manner and violations due to lack of consideration for driving regulations, urbanization principles, and urban environmental health) and auditory music basket selection, which includes background music in routine social activities of individuals. According to the statistics obtained from traffic police of Tehran and Karaj there is a significant relationship between drivers’ attention to traffic rules and signs with the played music in the car.
