Abstract

Summary This paper presents the experiments on copying accuracy of ECH for titanium alloy TC4 with some typical electrolytes in three aspects: investigation on the relation between removal rate and current density in NaCl, NaNO 3 and NaClO 3 solution respectively; investigation on oxygen evolution at the anode and experiment on the accuracy of specimens of TC4 and mild steel with HaHO 3 and NaCl solutions seperately. From those, we conclude that ECM titanium alloys even in NaNO 3 or NaClO 3 solution can't Improve the copying accuracy any more, but it gives better surface quality.
