Abstract

The regularities of the dynamic Stark effect in a high-frequency discharge in rare gases as well as the regularities observed under shift and splitting of spectral lines in the electric field for helium, neon, argon, and krypton are studied theoretically. The Schrodinger equation is solved by the diagonalization of the atomic-energy matrix in the electric field within the rotating-wave approximation.
