Abstract
ABSTRACTThis paper presents the most recent project to modify the layout of Riofrío Palace in 2016. It describes the historical and institutional determining factors that shaped the project, going on to explain its aims, challenges and achievements from the perspective of museological trends, and ending by explaining how it was implemented. Thanks to this refurbishment, today the Palace not only offers a more modern visitor experience but has furthermore recovered its historical identity.
